Venue Reading Canoe Club, Caversham, Reading.

Time: Booking in from 11.30 to 12:30

First Race starts 13.00

This Regatta is K2 and K4 only over 500M

Eleven K4's will be available for use, but please bring your own K2's and suitable seats for the K4's

K4 500m
K2 200m only if time permits
K2 3000m

Adults are welcome to take part.

Entry fee £4.00 per person for all events

A K2 500m time trial will determine your ability group race.
The K4 races, will be determined by your combined K2 times.
If time permits a K2 200m race will be held this will be based on your 500m time trial results.
Points will be awarded for each race on a basis of 4 for 1st , 3 for 2nd and so on based on 4 crews per race.
A trophy will be awarded to the winning club .

The K2 3000m races will be based on your marathon ranking, according to the table below.

Racing takes part on a closed section of the Thames

Buoyancy aids are at the discretion of parent and or Team leaders.

COMPETITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT

  1. The Race will be run in accordance with the rules in the Canoe Racing Handbook 2003.
  2. Vertical number plates must be used.
  3. This is a River Thames race, cabin cruisers and other craft will be frequently encountered. RULES OF THE RIVER MUST BE OBSERVED.

N.B. part of the river is closed for 200m and 500m racing.
