A series of K4 races for all standards of paddlers
VENUE
Reading Canoe club, upstream of Caversham Bridge. Follow signs to Reading town centre, then signs for Caversham. Canoe Race signs will be seen near Caversham Bridge.ENTRY FEES
£20 per boat (including boat hire fee). Boats will be allocated on a first entered, first served basis. No late entry fees. Reading has 7 K4's available for use. If you have a K4, do bring it
Entrants who are not BCU members, or entrants who do not prove membership, will be charged £3.00 for a Event Ticket, except Div. 10/11 (BCU requirement)

Racing will take place in 4 classes A, B, C and Junior. The Junior Class is intended for all paddlers under 14 and under 18’s who have been paddling for a year or less. All other crews should calculate the total of their marathon divisions and then enter the appropriate class e.g. 1 x Div 5, 2 x Div 4 & 1 x Div 3 = 16 = Class B

There are a limited number of boats; this may necessitate a crew's division/class being changed. Every effort will be made to avoid this.
SAFETY
All division 7, 8 and 9 paddlers must wear buoyancy aids. All U14 paddlers must also wear buoyancy aids whichever class they race in.
COMPETITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT
- The Race will be run in accordance with the rules in the Canoe Racing Handbook 2005.
- Vertical number plates must be used.
- This is a River Thames race, cabin cruisers and other craft will be frequently encountered. RULES OF THE RIVER MUST BE OBSERVED.
- RCC and its nominated officials cannot be held responsible for any loss of life, limb or equipment however caused.
